Miss Eagle Mountain, Utah 2009 Crowned
On Saturday, February 21, 2009, Jessica Bare was crowned Miss Eagle Mountain 2009. Her attendants are Hartley Lojik, first attendant and Breanna Weber, second attendant.
The retro themed pageant titled “Blast from the Past” featured not only the six lovely contestants, but also a soda shop set, poodle skirts and a jukebox archway used as an entry for the evening gown competition.
Jessica Bare will spend the next year representing Eagle Mountain City in numerous parades and events throughout Utah County. Then in June 2010 she will compete in the Miss Utah pageant and if she wins will go on to the Miss America pageant.
Our new Little Miss 2009 is Sadie Huish. And Donna Lee Anderson, co-owner of Village Pizza in the Ranches, was selected as the 2009 Woman of Achievement.
No Comments »UTA Announces Eagle Mountain Route
UTA is pleased to announce the new Express Bus Route #806, Eagle Mountain/Saratoga Springs/SLC Express, which will begin service on April 6, 2009.
The Route 806 Express will provide direct express bus service from the northwestern part of Utah County directly to downtown Salt Lake City. This route will have two northbound buses in the morning and two southbound buses in the afternoon, serving residents of Eagle Mountain and Saratoga Springs.
Pick-up and drop-off points will be as follows: Eagle Mountain, the LDS Chapel located at 7746 North Sparrowhawk Way; and in Saratoga Springs, near the LDS Chapel at 2101 North Providence Drive near the intersection of West Harvest Hills Blvd and North Providence Drive.
The approximate time to board the Route #806 traveling northbound from Eagle Mountain to downtown SLC is at 06:13 a.m. and 06:43 a.m., and from Saratoga Springs at 06:26 a.m. and 06:56 a.m., reaching downtown SLC at 07:25a.m. and 07:55 a.m. The return times traveling southbound from downtown SLC back to Saratoga Springs and Eagle Mountain are at 16:15 p.m. and 16:45 p.m., reaching Saratoga Springs at 17:17 p.m. and 17:47 p.m. and Eagle Mountain at 17:30 p.m. and 18:00 p.m.
Beginning April 1, 2009, the cost of a one way express bus fare is $4.50 or a monthly unlimited express bus pass is $162.00.
